Jo Anna Klein has been a healer for over fifteen years. She has a multi-degreed background and has worked as a teacher, elementary school principal, and marketing researcher. Jo is a natural and compassionate healer with an innate understanding of Universal Law. Her extensive work with children helps her bring you in touch with your inner child. Jo's primary intention in this work is to hold you in a space of acceptance and love which will enable you to move more gracefully toward what you desire.
Jo Anna wrote the following poem which was informed by her life and the lives some of her clients. It was inspired by the quote by Mignon McLaughlin: “Every society honors its live conformists and dead trouble makers.”
Barely Alive Conformists
Admonished
To keep a stiff upper lip
Not to wash your dirty laundry in public
Never to let them see you sweat
To suck it up and
Control yourself
Not wanting to be a
Cry baby
Scaredy cat
Or coward
We lived by the credo that
Big girls don’t cry
Nice girls don’t talk about that
And skeletons belong in the closet
Good little girls
We stifled ourselves
Allowing the “shoulds”
To strangle our energy
Until the vivacious laughter of childhood
Became a frozen grin and arthritic hands
Women of a certain age, arise!
Listen to your heart’s song
Hear the words that are alive in your body
Encoding the memories, unprocessed emotion
The conditioning of your childhood
Dance your wild dance,
Sing your raw and passionate song
Paint your soul’s journey
And all the while
Pay attention to your true voice inside
For it contains the key to freedom.
